Object handles is a wide range of products covering both door handles and window handles. Handles of this type are used in public spaces, e.g. in schools, banks, or wherever there is high frequency of use combined with high probability of improper use. Object sets can be often found in office buildings, where they are used not only because of their functionality, but also elegant and modern look, thanks to which they are a wonderful complement the interior decoration. These products meet the standard EN 1906.
Object handles to guarantee security in crisis situations, such as fire, were provided with a square spindle with the side wall dimension of 9 mm. For handles melting point of which is lower than 1000 °C, which are made of e.g., stainless steel, a steel core was introduced inside door handle. These and other restrictions, which we used in our products, are strictly regulated in DIN 18273. This standard also indicates spacing of mounting lugs, handles bearing arrangement, forces that the handles must carry, etc. DIN 18273 also regulates the way of testing strength and durability of this type of handles. Our products have been tested by MPA NRW institute and received a positive assessment. In the catalogue we pointed out these products with "F" symbol.
Development of object fire-resistant handles is a range of object handles with anti-panic function implemented i.a. through the use of appropriate spindles. Their special feature is the two-part construction. Handles equipped in this manner must cooperate with the corresponding lock, with anti-panic function. It is indicated in the standard EN 179, defining the dimensional range and shape of the grips themselves, optimal from the point of view of safety and ergonomics.
Standard EN 179 also provides guidance for testing the stability and durability including resistance to corrosion.
Object handles also have burglary protection function, which complies with the standard DIN18257. It is performed by a special inner design of plates, consisting of several layers of steel inserts integrated by means of lugs secured against the drill operation. We also offer a version with a lock cylinder protection ZA.
